Abstract
This article discusses the effect of active carbon in the aspect of absorbing antibiotic pollutions. Under the experimental conditions, 30 kinds of antibiotics are used. And active carbon´s removal rate is about 96.54% to 100%. Nadilixic acid, Oxytetracycline and Lincomycin are selected as representatives. Based on the data, when the pollution is up to 1mg/L and the removal rate is >;99.99%, the dose of usage of active carbon should be 115mg/L (Nadilixic acid), 75mg/L (Oxytetracycline) and 25mg/L (Lincomycin). According to other antibiotics´ difficulty of being absorbed by active carbon, this paper calculates the use of active carbon in the similar situation. To long-term pollution which is less than 1ug/L, The use of active carbon should maintain in the range of 1 to 35mg/L, so that antibiotics pollution can be removed effectively.
