  • Abstract
The squaring and iterated squaring construction for cyclic codes, obtained from well known construction |u|u + v|, are widely in use because of their comparatively less complex nature. A large number of quality codes and lattices such as Reed-Mullar codes and Barnes-Wall lattices are generated by employing simple constructions. The paper describes squaring construction and iterated construction for repeated-root cyclic codes and their utility for creating a large number of self-dual codes of long lengths. 1-level and 2-level squaring construction has been used in order to drive the m-level squaring construction.
