Abstract
Using one bricklaying strengthening ribs composite wall filled with straw-clay blocks as specimens, the behaviors about co-action on press and shear of the wall under vertical and horizontal load was tested under low cyclic reversed loading. Experimental studies were carried out to investigate failure process and patterns, bearing capacity, ductility, deformation, performance and stiffness. The results indicate that failure pattern of the wall is mainly shearing-type and the wall has a better seismic performance. The test results provide a basis for further theoretical analysis and design methods.
