Abstract :
Multiple-weight (MW) optical orthogonal signature pattern code (OOSPC) was introduced by Kwong and Yang for 2-D image transmission in multicore-fiber optical code-division multiple-access (OCDMA) networks with multiple quality of services (QoS) requirement. In this paper, a new construction method of MWOOSPCs is proposed based on pairwise balanced designs (PBDs). In this new construction, the number of codewords is variable with the structure of PDBs. Moreover, the proposed codes have more different code weights in contrast to the MWOOSPCs proposed previously.
