Abstract :
A New Multi-Modulus Blind Equalization Algorithm for QAM Signals is proposed in this paper. The algorithm uses Multi-Modulus technique in dual-mode based on Square Divided Regions (MMSDR) for initial convergence during blind startup. After the eye diagram is open, the Directed Decision (DD) Algorithm is used which helps to accelerate convergence rate and reduce the residual error. The switching process between MMSDR and DD is realized by a decision circle ring. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm has a faster convergence rate and lower residual error than others.
