Abstract
This paper presents a study on the integrated design of solar hot water systems in high-rise buildings for hot-summer and warm-winter climates. The design process was described in detail through a case study in which a high-rise apartment will be built in a southern city (Nanning) of China. This paper also describes how to select an appropriate solar hot water system and auxiliary heating system based on the analysis of the local climate. Suggestions for the integration design in a high-rise building were discussed in the paper.
