  • Abstract
    Researching the congestion control of heterogeneous networks, a new TCP algorithm named TCP based RTT is proposed based on the traditional TCP Reno Protocol. Because it uses the RTT to control the growth of the congestion window in the avoiding congestion stage, it enables the transmission process in the high speed condition for long time. After the packet is lost in the network, it can distinguish the reason by comparing the latest RTT with the historic record, then it will change the value of the congestion window and the slow start threshold, respectively. The simulation results shows that the improved TCP algorithm has better performs than the traditional TCP Reno Protocol.
