Abstract
This paper introduces the operating principle of pulse-width phase-shift (PW-PS) control technique. Its characteristics and applications in series-resonant high frequency induction heating power supply are researched. The relationship between the devices dissipation and phase-shift angle is analyzed theoretically. All the conclusions are verified and the SOA of power devices is obtained based on MATLAB simulation and experiment tests.
