Abstract

Peer-to-peer (P2P) network is widely used in Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) to implement content sharing. In general, a P2P file sharing system consists of a search algorithm and a file transfer protocol in which search algorithm attracts a lot of attention. In the paper, we study and analyze some recent research about search algorithm. We classify them into four kinds: the DHT-based searching methods, flooding-based searching methods, advertisement-based methods and social network-based searching methods. We give a briefly survey about searching methods.
