Abstract :
The real time RF simulator described here, is a unique tool that replicates in hardware the models of the communication channels of both UWB communication and the actual environment encountered by MIMO systems. The simulated models can be either statistical or deterministic where all their functional parameters are fully controlled by the user. The system is designed in a modular way and can be easily expanded to include more rays and clusters. The system serves as a tool for further theoretical research of practical implementations and evaluation tools, and gives the user a repeatable, controllable and observable method for modeling communication channels.
