Abstract
This paper describes, in detail, a power converter control topology using a fuzzy logic technique and a digital integrator. The converter consists of a buck topology. The advantage of this approach, compared to the widely used technique which considers the change of duty cycle as output variable, is the improvement of the control performance and the increase of the converter switching frequency limit. The buck topology is tested and its output voltage is regulated using fuzzy logic. Simulation is held in the MATLAB-SIMULINK environment and a microcontroller-based digital circuit is used for experiments
