Abstract :
This paper proposes a control scheme based on synchronous d-q-O transformation for a hybrid series voltage compensator. The effectiveness of the new control scheme in compensating for voltage sags, distortion and voltage flickers is demonstrated using simulation results. Its dual role as a harmonic isolator is also described. A comparison between the proposed scheme against an existing control scheme is presented via simulation
