Abstract :
"SieFormer" is an acronym of Siemens Transformer and belongs to a new family of products developed to satisfy the demands of the customers of the 21st century. It encompasses features such a low losses, low partial discharge with high reliability in terms of short-circuit withstand ability and life expectancy. This combined with the ease in operation and maintenance contributes to a high benefit to the customers and a high return of investment. This paper gives an overview of the features of the "SieFormer" and provides some insight into transformer life cycle management and on operational efficiency.
