Abstract :
Results of coherent tune shift measurements are described. A technique of coherent tune shift elimination which is based on wake fields compensation is also demonstrated. This technique can lead to a considerable increase of maximum beam current in accelerators and storage rings with a small aperture, when beam-wall interaction is important.<>
