Abstract :
An algorithm for segmentation of facial regions in video sequences is discussed in this paper. The algorithm is mainly based upon skin selection and edge detection techniques. Focus of this algorithm is news like videos which contain single face in them. Pixel-wise accuracy is intended to achieve by performing spatial domain segmentation techniques. The results of this algorithm are very promising for security and surveillance applications.
