Abstract :
Most graduate students and researchers focus their researcher on each kind of the commercial product design at the design departments of universities in Taiwan. Their research-domains are not restricted in few domains generally. But the information technology (IT) has became the popular industries in Taiwan recently, the more and more researches have been found to be concerned with the IT-related topics and developments in the departments of fine art and design. As mentioned problems above, this study wishes to explore the researching issues and analyze the trend of the design departments. The study uses the content analysis (CA) methodology to collect the thesis of National Central Library in Taiwan and classifies the researching-issues judged by the paper-title content. The judgments of the paper-title according to the original, IT-involved, IT-extended, IT-system and IT-related have classified into five catalogs. The goals of the study hope to find the increasing or decreasing of the academic researches toward the IT-related issues. This study uses the content analysis (CA) to analyze those academic-research trends to offer the summary reports finally.
