  • Abstract
    It is supposed that the formation and traveling of over-voltage waves in power systems play an important role in the whole power system operation. Therefore, studies on overvoltages in power systems need to be carried out. This article proposes an effective algorithm on recognizing and locating the disturbing oscillations based on Wavelet transform which is the most effective technique of reflecting the time-frequency properties in the analyzing signals. What will then be obtained is a means of over-voltage identification with great generality and high accuracy.
