Abstract :
The nanosecond lasing performance of core-shell and alloyed CdSe/ZnS colloidal quantum dots is reported. Low amplified spontaneous emission and laser oscillation thresholds of 0.55mJ/cm2 and 0.9mJ/cm2 are demonstrated for, respectively, thin-films and distributed-feedback cavity structures.
