Abstract :
This paper proposes a simplified model to describe distance node interference in IEEE802.11 based Wireless Mesh Network (WMN). An Interference Range based Rate Control (IRRC) scheme to resist interference from distant terminals based on interference level adjustment is presented, which builds tradeoff between custom FER and transmission rate according to current estimated interference level. Simulation results demonstrate effectiveness of our proposed schemes.
