Abstract :
This paper presents the experimental interferences of 10 kV overhead power lines, which affect the preference of feeder terminal unit (FTU) based on power line communication (PLC). The representative interferences such as narrow band noise, switching operation, lightning disturbance and colored background noise are analyzed in detail. The characteristic and coupling ways of interferences are summarized. Some anti-interference measures such as modulation mode, filtering and automatic relay are put forward for the design of FTU. The 1-year field operation experiences show that the FTU works stably and reliably with high practical value.
