Abstract :
In this paper, an improved method is presented for modeling of leaf venation patterns. Combined Runions´ modeling method with L-systems, the growth of main and lateral veins is accelerated. Moreover, a new dart-throwing algorithm is exploited to place auxin sources in each simulation loop. The results verify that the improved method result in venation patterns of higher reality more effectively.
