  • Abstract
    The traditional EPC project management mode with construction unit cored has many disadvantages in the expressway construction. Based on the trend that project management requires the design-construction integration, a new expressway EPC project management mode with design institute cored was put forward in this article. According to the concrete situation in our country, the necessity and advantages of the new expressway EPC project management mode were analyzed, the supervision system in the new expressway EPC project management mode were studied The management content and task of the owner and the design institute as the general contractor were described in detail. In the end, the applied research was done in the Baoding-Cangzhou expressway project construction. The research shows that the EPC project management mode with design institute cored has important theoretical value and economic value, it should be applied widely in the expressway construction.
