  • Abstract
Harmonic pollution in power system has become increasingly serious, and we have been aware of the harm of harmonic. In order to restrain harmonic and compensate reactive power, real-time and accurate harmonic detecting is very indispensable. This paper presents the generalized instantaneous reactive power theory and conducts simulation research on three generalized reactive current (harmonic and reactive current) detecting algorithms based on generalized instantaneous reactive power theory. Simulation results show that pq algorithm, ip-iq algorithm and dq0 algorithm can timely and exactly detect harmonic current when grid voltage without distortion; ip-iq algorithm and dq0 algorithm can also detect harmonic current when grid voltage with distortion timely and accurately. Through matlab simulink simulation experiment, the validity and feasibility of three methods have been confirmed.
