Abstract
How firms achieves and sustains competitive advantage is critical to strategic management. While some emphasize the significance of industry structure and core competencies, there is an increasingly attention to how firms create and improve their competences to match the changing environment in recent years. In this paper based on the dynamic capabilities perspective, we conduct a case study to explore how Huawei, a Chinese Hi-Tech company, developed and regenerated its resources and capability to adapt to the changing technological environment. We conclude by discussing implications for theory, practice and future research direction.
