  • Abstract
With the rapid development of our society and the growth of economy and population, the conflicts of water resources utilization and water pollution become more and more serious. As scarce and fragile resources, the quantity and quality of the carrying capacity of water resources is limited and exhaustive. It is necessary to study it further in this regard in order to ensure sustainable development of water resources. Based on resource scarcity and the limited rationality of economic entity, this paper applied game theory in water resource allocation. Currently, the phenomenon of water pollution and the conflicts in water resources utilization are coexistence in China, this paper use the game theory to build the game model of water resources allocation to explore measures to solve the “public tragedy” in current water resources utilization and propose some references in solving water crisis, water rights allocation and the reform of water management mechanism for policy makers. We hope the study can promote harmonious coexistence between humankinds in water resources protection.
