Abstract :
The development of modern science and technology makes it possible to apply biotechnology into everyday life. Fingerprint recognition is a brand-new high technology which processes the fingerprint image to acquire its characters and then use it into all kinds of fields in terms of the physiological characteristics of human fingerprint of uniqueness and invariance. A fingerprint data acquisition system is designed in this paper. The design ideal and components of the automatic fingerprint recognition system are illustrated in detail from hardware design and software design, especially for such techniques as the character collection of fingerprint, image partition, enhancement, binarization and particularization. It is indicated by practice that such characteristics of the fingerprint as uniqueness, stability, induplicatibility can be used as the basis of identifying a personal status rightly. The automatic fingerprint recognition system proposed in this paper can make the individual authentication system more reasonable, accurate and easy to do.
