Abstract
The theoretical background for this study is the assumption that tropical deforestation is associated with a change in vegetation seasonal patterns. Thus long-term trends in vegetation seasonality, as calculated from a time series of satellite data, can be used to assess deforestation across the highlands of mainland Southeast Asia
