Abstract :
In this paper, a new envelope tracking (ET) technique is proposed for concurrent dual-band power amplifiers (PAs). By combining the envelopes of two input signals of PAs at different frequency bands with proper weights, the ET technique realizes an enhancement in the total efficiency. The bandwidth of the synthesized envelope is analyzed. The result shows that the proposed ET technique does not increase the band width of the signal, which will alleviate the bandwidth burden of the envelope amplifier.
