Abstract :
Induction motor drives are often controlled using scalar scheme associated with a classical proportional-integral (PI) regulator. Nevertheless, when trapezoidal speed references are applied, large overshoots and high magnitude oscillations can be observed particularly when the acceleration and deceleration are high. Therefore, the aim is to change the conventional PI regulator that is generally used in scalar control scheme by the proposed fuzzy logic regulator in order to reduce the overshoots and the oscillations. Simulation results are validated experimentally using a test bed.
