Abstract :
A X-factor is defined as a figure of merit of a two-port for the purpose of simultaneous matching and is used to find the Optimum Feedback Conditions. For the transistors ATF35076 and FHR02FH over 2 to 8 GHz, our analysis shows that OFC´s can be realised without introducing parallel feedback. The trade off between, the gain and the X-factor should be considered when choosing the series feedback. The parameters Zopt L, the transducer-gain and the X-factor vs. the series feedback of ATF35076 and FHR02FH are presented over 2 to 8 GHz for the design purpose.
