Abstract :
Dispersion compensation is one of the crucial technologies in the field of optical fiber communication. However, many traditional compensation technologies only are suitable for single optical signal, and that some aren´t conductive to optical fiber communication. In order to solve the problem and in the light of the coupling theory of Uniform Fiber Bragg Grating (UBFG) in the vicinity of its reflection band gap, a new dispersion compensator is introduced, which can compensate the dispersion of many optical signals occupying highly wide spectrum in the WDM system. The result of simulation shows that the new dispersion compensator is valid and feasible.
