Abstract :
This paper took the rotary drum of the dish centrifugal separator as the study object. First of all, software ANSYS was used to set up Finite element model of the drum, and then the main parameters which affect rotary drum stress and strain were analyzed. The results showed that the maximum value of FW + FC, FW and FC were proportional to the speed and the square of the radius. With the drum wall thickness increased, the maximum value of FW + FC were decreased. The drum Height had little impact on the drum total stress. The present study suggested that the analytical method put forward in this paper was feasible, for it improved the design efficiency and quality, moreover, it provided important theoretical basis for the design of the drum.
