Abstract :
More efficient and accurate synchronization in time and frequency is required for the next generation packet-based mobile communication service system. The embedded synchronization scheme is introduced in this paper, which embeds the training sequence directly into the OFDM symbol stream. This method has important research value, offers the potential to save bandwidth resources and provide a flexible air interface mode. The theoretical derivation and implementation method are also presented. The paper also analyzed and compared many algorithms among the embedded synchronization schemes for OFDM systems in recent years, than summed up the focus and difficulties of the embedded synchronization scheme. The future research directions is given at last to subsequent OFDM synchronization, which has important guiding significance.
