Abstract :
The author discusses how there are many types of operator errors and inaccuracies typically associated with the manual balancing of electric motors. These errors combined, cost both time and money, as well as the possible reduction of overall motor performance. As production rates increase and balance tolerances continue to tighten, manual balancing will become increasing more difficult and impractical. The author argues that automatic motor armature balancing will become a necessity for the consistent production of high quality armatures and how automatic armature balancing is a good investment in a company´s future
