Abstract :
This article presents a new dual mode coupling technique. Slotted dielectric resonators, where notches replace the classical metallic coupling and tuning screws are introduced. The theoretical analysis using three dimensional finite element method permits rigorous prediction of a two poles filter and a four poles filter responses. For this last computation, the dielectric losses are taken into account by the new synthesis method. Experimental verifications show encouraging agreement with these theoretical studies.
