Abstract
We used imagery from the China-Brazil Earth Resources Satellite (CBERS1) to detect selective logging in Mato Grosso state, Brazil. An automated procedure using optical data was developed to determine which areas are under active, or recent, selective logging. We were able to detect selective logging using CBERS1 CCD images.
