Abstract :
In the paper, a novel image transmission method is presented. Our approach is achieved by padding each shadow generated by JPEG2000 based secret image sharing method into sub-bands of the integer wavelet transform of the poly-phase sampled sub-images. As a result, our method provides the following features: (1) this method is secure, reversible and progressive reconstruction for both secret and cover image transmission; (2) the secret image is fault tolerant; (3) the cover images are capable of conquering data losses; (4) the stego image is user-friendly for easy management; (5) the computational complexity of the proposed method is highly efficient. Experimental results are given to demonstrate these promising features of the proposed method.
