Abstract
Sonar equipment calibrations at The Institute of Ocean Sciences occur in three areas: measurement of projector and hydrophone parameters using calibrated hydrophones, calibration of complete systems installed in vessels using standard spherical targets, and dynamic performance measurements of sonar equipment under real operating conditions using a submerged pipe as a reference target
