Abstract
This paper considers a joint frequency and space resources allocation in an OFDMA cellular system with base stations (BSs) cooperation. The problem is formulated as a weighted sum rate maximization subject to per-antenna power constraint, using block-diagonalization (BD) for cooperative preceding. An efficient solution based on Lagrangian dual decomposition is proposed. Compared with the optimal solution obtained from exhaustive search, the computational complexity is reduced from one increasing exponentially with the number of subcarriers M to one increasing linearly with M . Simulation results show that the proposed solution approaches the upper bound of the optimal value within a negligible gap and outperforms the heuristic solutions based on serial allocation (i.e., allocating the frequency and space resources serially).
