Abstract :
Developing a query translation algorithm that uses both the schema information and the interval encoding is non-trivial. The problem of augmenting schema-based XML-to-SQL query mapping with interval information is identified as an interesting open problem. In this paper we address this issue and propose an efficient query translation algorithm augmented with an elegant interval encoding scheme for schema-based XML-to-Relational mapping schemes. The efficiency of the proposed algorithm is demonstrated with an experimental study.
