Water conservancy project management modernization is an important part of water conservancy modernization. There is no special study on modernization of water conservancy project management home and abroad at present. The connotation of modernization of water conservancy project management are defined explicitly, the targets of which are explored, based on full investigation about project examples. Considering the features of large and medium sized water conservancy projects and basin-wide water conservancy projects, the content of modernization of water conservancy project is analyzed. Including five aspects as follows: concept modernization of water conservancy project management, modernization of water conservancy project management system, institutionalized, standardization and legalization of water conservancy project management, modernization and information of water conservancy project management means, modernization of water conservancy project management team.
