Abstract :
This paper first introduces two kinds of fair algorithms in resilient packet ring networks, the operation mechanism of each algorithm is discussed in detail and their drawback is also analyzed. We enhance these two algorithms by modifying the calculation for fair rate. Through theoretical analysis and simulations, we show that the improved algorithms can reduce the oscillations of the sending rate greatly and achieves better link utilization.
