Abstract
This paper presents a software application which helps the neuromotor disabled patients to communicate with the clinicians. The proposed system also includes a telemonitoring component which collects the signals corresponding to various patients´ physiologic parameters. Due to their affections, the patients can´t speak or write but they can manifest their intentions toggling a switch, using a finger or moving their eyeballs. This application detects the patients´ actions and builds on a screen a message which shows their intention. The message is sent to the caretaker and, if need be, the latter´s answer appears on the screen. The biological signals´ values and the patients´ dialogues are saved in a central database where a supervisor can analyze the patients´ evolution and take decisions for improving their healthcare.
