Abstract

By means of curriculum resources reuse and sharing mechanism, SCORM can shorten the time of resources development, lessen costs and implement free circulation of learning content among hetero-platforms. However, excessive curriculum resources for reuse cause the problems of synchronous updating and low efficiency in learning resource utilization. In this paper, we propose a Web services enhanced dynamic curriculum resources sharing model (DCRSM-WS) based on SCORM. Our method packages the SCORM based curriculum materials resources as Web services, enables the requesters to dynamically connect to digital curriculum without replication and reduces the cost of curriculum construction.
