Abstract
This paper proposes and analyses a novel MAC protocol for wireless ad hoc networks that makes use of distributed queues to achieve an efficient use of the radio channel. The protocol includes a dynamic self-configurable master-slave architecture that allows the synchronism between the nodes of the network. Computer simulations demonstrate that the proposed scheme outperforms throughput bounds achieved when using a legacy 802.11 MAC protocol for mobile ad hoc networks.
