Abstract :
We derived exact closed-form expressions for the average symbol error rate (SER) for M-ary differential phase shift keying (MDPSK), equal energy, equiprobable correlated binary signals, and pi/4 -differential quaternary phase-shift keying (DQPSK) with multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) maximal-ratio combining (MRC) systems and channel estimation error in Rayleigh fading channels. Using the moment generating function (MGF)-based analysis approach, we express the average SERs in terms of Lauricella hypergeometric function, which can be easily evaluated numerically. Numerical results are provided to show the effects of channel estimation error on the average SER of MIMO MRC systems with M-ary signals.
