Abstract
In this paper, we present a universal power management IC for small-scale energy harvesting with adaptive impedance matching. A non-inverting buck-boost converter is adopted to accommodate a wide input voltage range from different energy sources and varying environmental conditions. The circuit dynamically performs the resistive matching to harvest the maximum power. The circuit is fabricated in 0.18-μm CMOS. Simulation and measurement results of the IC verify the operation of the power stage and the function of controller circuit.
