Abstract
This paper focuses on the estimation of passive microwave emissivities and surface temperature by combining SSM/I and NOAA-10 AVHRR thermal data. The study area is located in northern Quebec (Canada) covered by taiga and tundra forests. For the surface types analyzed, the estimated emissivities varied between 0.7 and 0.97.
