Abstract
This paper aimed to give information about Knowledge, Document And Institutional Memory Improvement of Ministry of Food Agriculture and Livestock General Directorate (DG) Agriculture Reform. In the scope of the knowledge, document and institutional memory improvement activities of Ministry of Food Agriculture and Livestock DG Agriculture Reform the studies such as development of Electronic Document Management System in DG Agriculture Reform, effect study for improvement of institutional awareness and maturity, extension planning for improvement of institutional memory, archive study for improvement of knowledge and document capacity of archiving the documents inside the dynamic metadata based model, conversion of the documents to knowledge Optical Character Recognition (OCR), inclusion of the historic data to Geographical Information Systems (GIS) system by transferring the geographic information of the archived documents and obtaining a Turkish GIS system including institutional information bedded historical development and ensuring sustainability have been done. The methodology required for the integrated impact assessment studies has been put forward and need analysis was applied. Extension plan has been developed for Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) and service integration has been provided with the current systems.
