The Implementation and Application of IPTV Supported on Pull Mode of P2P

With the development of computer Internet and multimedia technologies, use pull mode of P2P to streaming media transmission technology to provide real-time streaming video and audio stream to the public through the Internet. It can make IPTV as a personalized, real-time, interactive servicing media. IPTV is television broadcasting services based on the IP protocol. Use television or personal computer as a display terminal; provide users with digital broadcast television, video services, information services interactive communities, interactive entertainment, electronic commerce and other broadband services through the broadband network. This paper first introduces the concept of P2P and its pull mode structure, then mainly analyzes the implementation and major applications of IPTV technology.
